AI Scratchpads
Scratchpads are your personal, private laboratory for AI experimentation. This section is designed for low-pressure ideation, drafting, and testing without cluttering your team's shared workspace.
What is a Scratchpad?
A Scratchpad is essentially a private Canvas. Unlike Deliverables or Project documents, Scratchpads are only visible to you. No one else on your team can see them, search for them, or access them unless you explicitly choose to share or convert them.
Key Features
- Total Privacy: Experiment freely. Your drafts, prompt iterations, and half-baked ideas are safe here.
- AI-Powered: Access the full power of the AI Assistant to help you write, brainstorm, and edit.
- Flexible Formatting: Use the Canvas editor to mix text, headings, and lists freely.
Creating a Scratchpad
Creating a Scratchpad follows the same "From Scratch" flow as other deliverables:
- AI Generation: Type a prompt (e.g., "Help me brainstorm blog titles") to generate a starting draft. You can add files, research, or reference docs to this prompt as context.
- Blank Canvas: Open an empty document to write manually or paste content yourself.
Converting to a Deliverable
Once you've polished an idea in your Scratchpad and are ready to share it with your team, you can convert it to a Deliverable.
- This action moves the document from your private workshop to the shared Deliverables library or a specific Project.
- Once converted, it becomes visible to your team (depending on the visibility settings you choose) and can be collaborated on.
When to use a Scratchpad?
- Drafting personal LinkedIn posts or emails.
- Testing new prompt strategies before using them on official assets.
- Brainstorming ideas for a campaign before creating a formal Project.
- Analyzing a private document that you don't want to upload to the shared Reference Library.
