AI Assistant

The MarketCore AI Assistant is your always-on co-pilot, present in every document and scratchpad, designed to help you write, refine, and brainstorm faster.

The Interface

The AI Assistant lives in a collapsible right-side panel.

  • Open/Close: Toggle the panel anytime by clicking the AI icon.
  • Resizable: Drag the edge of the panel to make it wider for reading long responses or analyzing code.

Core Capabilities

1. Dynamic Context & Transparency

The Assistant "sees" your entire workspace, but it's also transparent about what it is using.

  • The Lightbulb Icon: Located at the top of the panel, this icon shows a number representing how many specific context items (brand docs, research, reference files) are currently effective.
  • View Sources: Click the lightbulb to open an overlay listing the exact names of every document providing context to the AI.

Per-Prompt Relevancy: Every time you send a new prompt (e.g., "Now add a section about pricing"), the system runs a fresh relevancy scan.

  • It looks for additional context in your library specifically relevant to your new request.
  • If new context is found, the Lightbulb will pulse and the count will update, showing you that the AI just got smarter based on your specific question.

2. Text Selections (Laser Focus)

Want to rewrite a specific sentence or paragraph?

  1. Highlight the text in the editor.
  2. You'll see a visual indicator in the chat panel (hover to verify exactly what the AI sees).
  3. Type your prompt (e.g., "Make this punchier"). The AI knows exactly which part to modify, so you don't need to explain context.

3. Model Selection

You are in control of the intelligence. Use the dropdown to switch between different AI models depending on your need for speed vs. reasoning power.

Working with the AI

Direct Edits (The Default)

When you ask for a change (e.g., "Rewrite the intro"), the AI acts as a sophisticated editor:

  1. Thinking: It processes your request.
  2. Streaming Updates: The editor locks briefly while the AI streams its changes directly into the document.
  3. Summary: The AI follows up with a chat message summarizing exactly what it changed and why.

Brainstorming & Feedback

If you ask for ideas rather than actions (e.g., "Give me 5 headline options" or "Critique this argument"), the AI detects this intent.

  • It will not touch your document.
  • It will respond fully in the chat thread, keeping your draft clean until you're ready to paste something in.

Safety & Version Control

Experimentation is risk-free. MarketCore tracks every AI interaction.

  • Diff View: Click to see a side-by-side comparison of your document before and after the AI's last edit, with additions and deletions highlighted.
  • One-Click Restore: Don't like the change? Click Restore to instantly revert the document to its previous state.
    • Note: If you restore a past version, the "future" versions you skipped are hidden in a collapsed view. They remain accessible until you send a new prompt, which starts a fresh timeline and overwrites the abandoned path.

Shared Threads

AI conversations are threaded and persistent team spaces.

  • Group Chat: If teammates open the AI panel in a shared document, they see the entire history. It works like a group chat—messages are stamped with the avatar of the person who prompted, allowing the whole team to collaborate in the same thread.
  • Auto-Collapse: To keep the thread clean, previous messages (over 80 words) from you or the AI are automatically collapsed. Just click "Show More" to read the full detail.
